Training Formats

“I Know CPR” is pleased to offer three different training format options. All three options result in the same national/state approved certification.

1. Classroom:

These trainings are provided in the same way that trainings have been provided in the past; in-person, with the addition of specific CDC Disease Transmission Precautions. We bring all the AV equipment, manikins, AEDs, and supplies to provide the highest quality course your facility has ever had. All we ask is that you have a room suitable with electricity, heat, utilities, and floor space to conduct the training.

2. Blended- Online Course with Live Instructor Skills Check:       

Part 1: A nationally-approved internet based course. We provide you with all the directions and set you up with the national online course approved by the state for whatever training you have scheduled.

Part 2: Required Skills verification that will be completed with a live instructor on-site: An on-site Skills Verification session will be scheduled with our staff. An “I Know CPR” instructor will come on-site, in-person, allowing short practice times for students, and then observe the student’s re-demonstrate skills. The skills aspect usually takes less than 45 minutes for groups of 8 or less.

3. Blended- Live Instructor Virtual Course with Live Instructor Skills Check:          

Part 1: The lecture aspect of the course will be provided through a virtual meeting                                  (usually Zoom), allowing participants to interact with the live instructor as the                                     training progresses. This differs from the Blended, Part 1 internet based                                           course which is an online program.

Part 2: Required Skills verification that will be completed with a live instructor on-site: An on-site Skills Verification session will be scheduled with our staff. An “I Know CPR” instructor will come on-site, in-person, allowing short practice times for students, and then observe the student’s re-demonstrate skills. 

*All of our trainings are following the strictest CDC Disease Transmission Precautions. We are finding some variations to the above formats that can be accommodated, please feel free to discuss options and let us know of any concerns that you may have.*

**For all class styles, certificate issuance is dependent on instructor observation of reasonable skills performance.**
